Save the listing reference, chosen option and date checked, then add these details before comparing candidates.
- Chest width measured flat, with the measurement method noted.
- Length from the stated start point, plus sleeve and shoulder measurements.
- Waist and inseam for trousers, including whether the waist stretches.
- Fabric description, lining and any care information supplied.
A comparison mistake to avoid
For example, a 56 cm flat chest measurement is not a 56 cm body circumference. Ask how the measurement was taken if the listing does not explain it. Compare the same points on your own garment.
Check the version and the evidence
Before ordering, match the selected colour and size with the saved record. Later photos can help confirm labels, seams and visible marks, but cannot establish how the fabric feels or wears.
